How It Works
O/W Emulsification & Lubricity.
The PEG-8 chain provides moderate hydrophilicity, while the stearate tail provides lipophilic anchoring and a soft, wax-like feel. This balance makes it an ideal co-emulsifier that also doubles as a skin-conditioning agent, laying down a smooth, breathable film of stearic esters on the skin or fiber surface.

It is usually best used as a co-emulsifier alongside higher or lower HLB surfactants to create a deeply stable lamellar network, rather than as a standalone emulsifier.
