Emulsifying Wax (Non-Ionic)
Pharcos SX
Also known as: Emulsifying Wax NF Blend | Cetearyl Alcohol & Polysorbate 60
Pharcos SX (Emulsifying Wax NF equivalent) is not a single chemical, but a precision-melted blend of Cetearyl Alcohol (to provide viscosity and structure) and Polysorbate 60 (to provide the high-HLB emulsifying power). This pre-blended system allows manufacturers to create highly stable, rich cosmetic creams and pharmaceutical carrier ointments without needing to calculate complex HLB ratios or stock multiple individual emulsifiers.

How It Works
Pre-optimized 'Alpha-Gel' structure formation.
In standard lotion manufacturing, formulators must carefully balance lipophilic waxes with hydrophilic surfactants to ensure they crystallize together perfectly as the cream cools. Pharcos SX is pre-optimized at the molecular level. The Polysorbate 60 and Cetearyl Alcohol are intimately mixed so that when added to hot water and oil, they instantly lock into the ideal three-dimensional 'liquid crystal' gel network. This physically traps the oil droplets and water phase together with exceptional stability, requiring minimal shearing force.
Technical Information
Common questions about Emulsifying Wax (Non-Ionic)
No. Pharcos SX is a complete 'turn-key' emulsification system. As long as your total oil phase is kept within reasonable limits (typically under 25-30%), this wax alone will form a perfectly stable white cream.
